Wireless Access to CAN Mobile Control Blocks via Wi-Fi and Smartphone

HAWE Hydraulik has introduced CANpal, an interface that enables wireless access to mobile control blocks via Wi-Fi using a smartphone or tablet. The solution simplifies diagnostics, parameter adjustment, and commissioning of CAN-controlled valve systems in mobile machinery — both in the workshop and in the field.

Wireless Service and Remote Parameter Adjustment

CANpal is a handheld service tool developed specifically for PSL-CAN valve control blocks with integrated CAN control. Thanks to an integrated wireless module and built-in web server, technicians can easily connect to control units via Wi-Fi — without installing a dedicated app. The interface is accessed directly through a web browser with an intuitive and user-friendly design.

This makes it possible to:

  • Read settings and adjust parameters directly from a mobile device

  • Perform diagnostics and maintenance independently of the machine’s engine status

  • Work efficiently both in the workshop and in the field

All of this contributes to shorter service and commissioning times.

Robust and Globally Flexible

CANpal is designed to be compatible with common connector types such as DT, AMP, and AMS, making it suitable for global applications. The unit has its own power supply via standard batteries or rechargeable batteries and features a robust 7-inch touchscreen designed for demanding working environments.
