International top name confirmed for robotics conference in Odense
When NextGen Robotics LIVE takes place as part of Robotics Week, the program will feature prominent names. A broad range of experts have already announced their attendance, and more are on the way. Among the speakers is, for example, Finnish cybersecurity expert Mikko Hypponen, whose presentation “The New Battlefield: Cyber, Drones and Digital Warfare” focuses on how cyber threats, drone technology and digital warfare are shaping the global security landscape.
– That is precisely one of the conference’s strengths: the program is broad and addresses current themes with input from international voices, explains Søren Elmer Kristensen, CEO of Odense Robotics, which is behind NextGen Robotics LIVE together with Erhvervshus Fyn.
– With NextGen Robotics LIVE, we look forward to bringing the world to Denmark while also showcasing Danish robotics and innovation on the global stage. With guests from around the world, we draw inspiration and perspectives from the international robotics league, while at the same time showing what we can do here in Denmark.
– There is no doubt that Danish robotics is in a class of its own, he continues.
The program includes presentations by world-renowned robot influencer Lukas Ziegler, who focuses on the latest trends in robotics, including developments in physical AI, where intelligent and humanoid robots play a central role. This perspective is expanded further when Arnaud Robert, CEO of Hexagon Robotics, shares his view on developments in robotics and autonomy. Together with profiles such as serial investor Thomas Visti, robotics expert and professional leader at the Danish Technological Institute Søren Peter Johansen, and Capra Robotics CEO Niels Jul Jacobsen, the program brings together players from the Danish robotics ecosystem in collaboration with global technology companies such as NVIDIA, Amazon Robotics and ABB.
Robots from every angle
In addition to presentations, NextGen Robotics LIVE offers a wide range of activities. The conference is structured into four tracks – industry, technology, politics and practical demonstrations – giving participants the opportunity both to experience robotics up close and to gain insight into the political frameworks shaping development. As part of the program, projects and solutions from the Funen business lighthouse NextGen Robotics will also be presented, including technologies that bring robots into play in new and more complex application areas. In the production of large structures, participants will, among other things, be able to experience a ten-ton crane fitted with a robotic arm, illustrating how robotics can be used for large-scale automation.
– NextGen Robotics LIVE is a strong platform for showcasing technological development – not least how robots are increasingly gaining ground in areas where this was previously not possible. We look forward to demonstrating the potential this opens up in work involving large structures in sectors such as maritime and energy, says Christian Schlette, Head of SDU Center for Large Structure Production.
Part of Robotics Week
NextGen Robotics LIVE is part of Robotics Week, which Odense Robotics, the Technical University of Denmark and the Danish Robot Network (DIRA) have joined forces to create. It is an entire week dedicated to the overall strength of the robotics and automation industry. Here, the industry comes together for a joint initiative, where ROBOTBRAG and NextGen Robotics LIVE constitute the week’s central events and ensure a strong professional focus from technology development to business development and networking.
