Parker Hannifin is now expanding its SensoControl portfolio with a new generation of sensors and control modules for industrial and mobile applications. The updated product family has been developed to meet increasing demands for connectivity, standardization and faster data acquisition in modern hydraulic systems and process installations.
The new SensoControl units are aimed at applications including:
- mobile hydraulics
- construction machinery
- agricultural machinery
- power generation
- industrial manufacturing
- compressor systems
Parker describes the launch as a step towards more future-proof and standardized machine platforms where sensors and control systems are more closely integrated with digital machine control.
Focus on IO-Link and modern connectivity
A key feature of the new product range is that all models are now supplied with IO-Link as standard.
IO-Link is an industrial communication protocol used to transfer data between sensors and control systems. The technology makes it possible to:
- simplify installation
- collect more diagnostic data
- enable predictive maintenance
- improve machine monitoring
- standardize integration between machine systems
Parker has also added support for a 0–10 V output, making it easier to integrate the sensors into existing analogue systems and older machine platforms.
Four sensor types for different applications
The expanded SensoControl family consists of four different models developed for level and temperature monitoring in hydraulic and process systems.
SCLTSDI – combined level and temperature sensor
SCLTSDI is a combined sensor for level and temperature measurement in tanks and reservoirs.
The sensor offers:
- IO-Link communication
- multiple probe lengths up to 1000 mm
- analogue outputs
- support for 0–10 V signals
The solution is primarily developed for hydraulic tanks where both level and temperature need to be monitored in a single unit.
SCLSDI – level sensor for hydraulic tanks
SCLSDI is a level sensor without integrated temperature measurement.
It is used where:
- a separate temperature sensor is already installed
- simple level monitoring is prioritized
- cost-efficient integration is important
Applications include OEM machinery, distribution systems and power generation.
SCTSDI – temperature sensor for dynamic systems
SCTSDI is a temperature sensor with an integrated probe for direct installation in the system.
Parker highlights:
- fast response time
- high measurement accuracy
- robust industrial design
- IP67 protection rating
The sensor is developed for applications where rapid temperature control is important, such as:
- compressors
- industrial machinery
- test equipment
- process systems
SCTSDI-Modular – modular temperature monitoring
The modular SCTSDI-Modular version is designed for PT1000 sensors and decentralized temperature monitoring.
It targets:
- larger industrial systems
- power generation
- mobile machinery
- agricultural equipment
The modular design enables flexible and scalable temperature solutions in larger system architectures.
Standardization for global machine platforms
An important part of Parker’s strategy is standardization across different machine types and markets.
The new SensoControl units use:
- a common menu structure
- standardized parameter settings
- VDMA-based navigation
- uniform communication via IO-Link
This makes it easier for machine manufacturers to develop global machine platforms using the same sensor technology regardless of market or application.
Robust design for mobile hydraulics
All models are developed with robust industrial design and IP67 protection for use in demanding environments.
This provides protection against:
- dust
- vibrations
- moisture
- dirt
- temperature variations
This makes the sensors suitable for both stationary and mobile hydraulic systems where operational reliability is critical.
Increasing importance for intelligent hydraulics
The development towards smarter hydraulic systems is driving demand for connected sensors with higher precision and improved diagnostic capabilities.
In modern machinery, sensors are increasingly used for:
- condition monitoring
- energy efficiency optimization
- automation
- remote diagnostics
- predictive maintenance
The new generation of SensoControl products clearly demonstrates how sensor integration is becoming an increasingly important part of future industrial and mobile hydraulic systems.
